Driver CPC Initial Training

The initial Driver CPC is a new qualification within the transport industry. It applies to new entrants who
require LGV cat C1 or C and who want to drive professionally. The initial qualification confirms you have
the required knowledge and skills to carry out the duties of a professional HGV Driver. Driver CPC will
go hand in hand with your theory and LGV tuition. Associated Transport Tuition can assist you in all
matters relating to LGV / Driver CPC initial training. The initial Driver CPC qualification has 4 module
which must be passed.

Module 1.
Module 1a: Multiple Choice Test: Must score at least 85 out of 100 correct.
Module 1b: Hazard Perception Test: Must score at least 67 out of 100 correct

Module 2.
Case Study Test: A theory test based on case studies and scenarios.
Module 1 and 2 must be sat at a DSA approved theory test centre.

Module 3.
Pass the LGV practical driving test: 1 1/2 hours drive on varying road and traffic conditions.

Module 4.
Practical Demonstration and Oral knowledge exam. Demonstrate the ability to ensure vehicle and load safety and security.

ONCE YOU HAVE PASSED ALL 4 MODULES YOU WILL BE AWARDED A DQC(Driver Qualification Card). YOU WILL THEN BE SUBJECT TO PERIODIC DRIVER CPC TRAINING (35 hours every 5 years)
