About LGV Courses

Category C (Rigid body vehicle / HGV Class 2 / LGV)
If you took your car test after 1997 and would like to drive an LGV over 3,500kg then this is the licence
for you.
This is a smaller truck, normally used for making local deliveries. You might know this licence as a Rigid,
Hgv Class 2 or LGV Class C. All of these terms mean the same thing. At Associated Transport Tuition,
we can arrange LGV training for this licence & you would be expected to earn up to 25k a year. LGV
drivers will always be in great demand - it's simple logistics to undertake LGV training! Suppliers need
to move goods from point A to point B, and they need drivers to move them! You'll know that already
because you will have seen the drivers out on the road. When you've obtained your LGV licence you
will be one of them - with no boss on your back, no office politics, and just a simple honest day's work.
We think you will like it. bit if this is not what you are looking for and want to know what else is available,

Category C+E (Artic or Drawbar Vehicle / Class 1 / HGV)
If you're new to trucking, but you're interested in the higher earning power of a position driving a C+E Vehicle, you can
train back to back. This means that in the Hgv/Lgv Training course, you can complete your Category C and C+E training.
It'll take you eight days.
Your earning potential in a C+E Vehicle is up to 30k a year, and with the increase in online shopping and deliveries,
there's no better time to become an Hgv/Lgv driver. C+E drivers often have the opportunity to drive abroad. Also, the working pattern can mean that you'll work a few days, followed by a few days off, meaning you can grab a few days quality time with your family. Completing the Back to Back course means you've got the best of both worlds - you can take your pick long haul or local drops? A few hours work or a few days work at a time? It's your decision.
If it is a Category C+E licence you're looking for then this is a very simple process, just discuss how you would like the courses and the timescale and we will book you on our Back to Back course. This means we will take you through the Category C and C+E Hgv/Lgv Driver Training courses in a timescale that suits you. Got your C licence already? No problem. You can train over three or four days and go straight for your Class C+E licence.
